Season 2007/08 Latest Match Report Boxford 0 Frinton and Walton Under 12 Blues 7Frinton Under 12 Blues finished their league campaign with a good win against a resilient Boxford side who fought to the end. Arriving 20 minutes before the home team the boys had plenty of time to warm up and prepare for the game and it showed. Straight from kick off the boys went on the attack and the Boxford had no answer to Joel's pace and the team's quick passing. Boxford had their moments, like when their centre forward was only thwarted by a last gasp tackle from Conor, but as a whole the defence including Sam W, Hugh and Calvin were in control. Joel opened the scoring with a great individual goal and he added another before half time. Tom B also found the net twice with a couple of good finishes. A 4-0 scoreline at half time looked good but it could have been so much more with a number of excellent crosses from Richard and Joel just "begging" to be put in the net. At half time Ken brought on some substitutes and the pattern remained the same. There were some great passing movements, with Sam D, Tom M and Luke all very much involved but more often than not the final chance was "snatched at" and the Boxford goalkeeper was allowed to save. Jordan came close on a couple of occasions and Josh was also a constant nuisance to the Boxford defence. There were also scares at the other end with a free kick hitting the bar and Sam W having to clear off the line. Jamie was also doing a good job in heading away the high balls. However as the half wore on the boys found their shooting boots again and man of the match Joel made it five before Hugh scored two more to wrap up the scoring. A special mention should be made of Ryan Wayland who kept a clean sheet, and made a couple of good saves, on his debut in goal. Well done boys. A good finish to the competitive season. League Table

Previous Match Reports Frinton and Walton Under 12 Blues 2 Stanway Rovers 1In very windy conditions Frinton won the toss and chose to play against the wind and uphill in the first half. Ken set the team to defend and the tactic worked well. Sam W played just in front of the back four and did a good job getting in vital interceptions and tackles. Conor and Jamie coped well with everything through the middle and when the wind carried the ball over the defence Toby was alert coming off his line to collect. Despite the wind Joel caused the Stanway defence a lot of trouble with his direct running and Calvin stung the goalkeeper's hands with a firm shot. Stanway only created one decent chance in the first 30 minutes and unfortunately they scored. However manager Ken was happy with the 1-0 scoreline at half-time. The second-half started well when Joel exploited a long kick from Toby and lobbed the goalkeeper. Ken had adopted a more attacking formation with Josh and Luke taking up forward positions and Frinton began to create more chance | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
