Frinton & Walton Under 6s 3 Great Bentley Under 6s 0
Frinton started strongly and were quickly 2 goals up through the skills of Max Brownsdon. Alex Skinner and James Letts were a constant threat as Bentley fought hard to get into the game. Darin Othieno finished a fine midfield display with an assured finish. Man of the match went to Reuban Keeys for a tireless display.


Stanway Rovers Under 6s 2 Frinton & Walton Under 6s 1
Frinton started strongly with Reuban Keeys and Dennis Palfrey winning the midfield battle but conceded a deflected corner early on.
Darin Othieno equalised with a powerful shot. All the team played superbly and pressure led to Stanway running out victorious. Alfy Walters won man of the match with a determined display.
 

Wivenhoe Youth Under 6's 1 Frinton & Walton Under 6's 5

Frinton started strongly in the first half with Dennis Palfrey winning every tackle in midfield.
New signing Alex Skinner was clinical as he expertly fired in 4 goals before the break. The second half was a closer affair as Wivenhoe fought hard to win a goal back. The move of the match came towards the end as Alfie Keen sprinted clear of 2 opponents to put a great through pass to Ben McInnes who smashed the ball into the goal. Man of the match was Alex Skinner.

Great Bentley Under 6’s 0 Frinton & Walton Under 6’s 4

Frinton’s youngest team travelled away to Bentley to play their fifth friendly. In the first half the ball rarely came out of the opponents area as Frinton applied all the pressure. Alfie Walters and Ben McInnes were superb in midfield and James Letts scored a great goal after skipping past 2 defenders. Frinton could have added to their lead with chances falling to Reuban Keeys and more for tricky Man of the Match James Letts. Frinton’s dominance paid off when Darin Othieno finished after a goalmouth scramble.
Alex Skinner skillfully turned the ball in to score on his debut from inside the box.
Great Bentley showed real spirit and fought back but Alex Sullivan was on hand with 2 tremendous saves. Frinton finished in style with an amazing individual goal from Darin Othieno.

Stanway Villa Under 6’s 1 Frinton & Walton Under 6’s 3

Frinton travelled away to take on one of the strongest teams in the area in this friendly for under 6s. Frinton started strongly and could have taken the lead with chances for Reuben Keys and James Letts. Stanway pounced on indecisive defending to take the lead and went 2-0 up with a tremendous long range shot. Max Brownsdon scored after a fantastic solo run which spurred Frinton on to try to find the equaliser. In the final minutes Stanway scored with a deft chip over fast improving goalkeeper Alex Sullivan. All 12 teammates played superbly, Finlay Hardes was man of the match with his strong defensive display.

Frinton & Walton Under 6's 3 Wivenhoe Youth Under 6's 1

Frinton started the game strongly, Ben McInnes and James Letts had early efforts saved. Captain Rueben Keeys , Alfie Keen and Johnnie Fernie were superb in defence but could not prevent Wivenhoe scoring an early goal. Max Brownsdon levelled in the second half with a powerful long range shot. Darin Othieno added a second with a lovely finish to put Frinton into the lead. Alex Daly had a superb game in goal saving many chances including a penalty
In the final few minutes Man of the match Max Brownsdon capitalised on a defensive error to slide in to score his second to seal the result for Frinton.

Colchester Villa Under 6’s 1 Frinton & Walton Under 6’s 2

Frinton U 6's travelled to Colchester for their first ever away game and quickly got into their stride with a great goal from Alfie Keen.
Johnny Fernie was commanding in defence and Dennis Palfrey, Max Brownsdon and Reuban Keeys were winning the tackles in the tight midfield battle.
The 2 teams were very well matched and Colchester levelled the score with 5 minutes to go. Captain Alfie Keen spurred his side on and netted a deserved winner.

Frinton and Walton U6’s 1 Colchester Villa U6’s 2
Frinton and Walton under 6's hosted their first ever match at TTC against Colchester Villa. Frinton showed great teamwork, and all the players played superbly. Captain Alfie Keen passed to Dennis Palfrey who took his goal in expert fashion.
The teams were very evenly matched and Colchester went on to win 2:1.
The Frinton man of the match was Reuban Keeys for his energy and determined tackling skills.
Frinton have another 5 under 6 teams lined up for friendlies.
